Tamasin was absolutely outstanding throughout our assessments a few years ago, as well as during the child therapy sessions that followed. She combines exceptional professional expertise with genuine compassion and understanding. From the very beginning, she made both me and my children feel calm, heard, and supported. My grandson came to Dr Black and Tabla Psychology for an ed.psych. assessment and report. The aim was to provide the necessary evidence to strengthen our case in appealing his amended EHCP on transition from school to further education. We were welcomed in to charming, calm and restful open-plan 'living room' surroundings where we were lucky enough to meet the affectionate therapy dog and then relax. My grandson was invited to take his hosts round the corner to show them how good he was at games, puzzles, jokes and other fun challenges, in the company of the dog. To him the whole experience was just a fun day out, at the end of which he felt very proud of himself. For us the assessment was 'spot on' . It described Alex's needs very accurately, with appropriate recommendations backed up by exactly the kind of expert evidence required, phrased in a way that fitted the framework of an EHCP and has had the impact that we alone could not. Everything we could have hoped for with, ultimately, the desired outcome.
