How this can help

This can help children learn relaxation techniques to help relieve feelings of anxiety and help them to be in the right space to focus on how their thoughts and feelings impact on what they do.

Mindfulness based CBT can also help your child to:

  • Develop a healthier relationship with emotions, noting that they always pass.
  • Supporting them to take note of the experience of thoughts and emotions and acknowledge that what they are experiencing is a part of being human
  • To let the experience come and go on its own, without attempts to control it
  • Practice self compassion and self acceptance

How much does it cost?

We offer blocks of 6 sessions at a time.  An initial and concluding session with parents is required and charged at the professional hourly rate.

Where can I find more information?

Please have a read of our Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioural Therapy FAQ section or get in touch with us here.

The sessions are helping me with my positivity and I find that they are helping me to cope with things that I get stressed or worried about. When I feel low it is great when Tammy gives me the positive side which makes me feel better. Tammy is a lovely person who has helped me. She is easy to talk to and is very friendly. Tammy gives me good advice. Talking by video call is good. I find Tammy easy to talk to. To begin with I wondered whether it would be quite formal to talk on video call, but it hasn’t as Tammy is a very friendly person. I find talking things through helps gets my worries off my shoulders and Tammy gives me good advice. It also helps when I have had a bad day and feel particularly low inside, she makes me smile.
